Do not give a grade to students

Nowadays many parents wanted to their children become a “straight A student” or become a top student in the class and grade all student in school. This is a kind of pressure given to the children by their parents and students will scare what happen if he did not get straight A in the result? That it means they are no good and will look down by others? But “grades” what do those letters really mean? And do they really do any good? I my opinion students should not be grades by all type of grades and should be written evaluation of the student’s strength and weaknesses. These would benefit both students and parents.

Giving the grades to student is harm than good because that because the student will feel that study like becomes a game. They needed to have as many A as they can to achieve their goal to win the game. That is wrong, this kind of thinking will doesn’t let student know that why they need to study and they only know that they need to get many A. this is not a best way to study and they don’t know how to use their knowledge that they have.

In addition, some of the student will look down the student that did not get A. that will form many type of group in the school for example, one of the group are all the student good in study and get straight A in their report card and they will look down to the student that get low grade in their result. And the other group student who get low grade in the result will feel that they are useless because they can’t even get a high grade in the result and that will make the feel frustrate in their study.

The best way to teach the student is not giving them a grade. The school should replace grades with written evaluation of the student’s strengths and weakness. This will help the student to improve their study easily. It is because the way is teachers will wrote down what is the weakness of the student and try to help on the student weakness. There for it will let the student feel that if they weak are doesn’t matter and they will be teach by teacher to improve their study. That will be let the student know about the real purpose of study.

In my conclusion, school should not be grade the student whether they are good or not it is because every student will become good in their study if they know where is the weakness of their study.
